2019 Honor Roll Scholar’s Soapbox Pinot Noir
2019 Honor Roll Scholar’s Soapbox Pinot Noir
Vintage 2019 saw low yields due to the previous seaons dry conditions, however good rainfall in June and August followed by a mild autumn resulted in good flavour and colour development.
This example of Adelaide Hills Pinot Noir using the 777 and 114 clones, is a true expression of the variety in a region that is gaining a reputation for producing quality wines. The grapes were carefully hand harvested, whole bunch fermented using wild yeast for complexity. The wine was then matured in French oak puncheons for 12 months of which 60% was new.
